Join Refuge Animal Caretaker Don Tourtellot and Adirondack Nature Guide Rich Hanlon for an experience at The Refuge (formerly Adirondack Wildlife Refuge) that’s great fun for the whole family! Walking the nature trails with Rich, you’ll experience the unique wildlife that bring balance to the Adirondack ecosystem. Listen to the stories of mountains and glaciers from The Refuge’s Whiteface Mountain observation deck. Discover yourself in the stories of nature’s pioneers, collaborators, and tricksters. Don will lead you on a private tour of The Refuge’s exotic animals, giving you a look into the lives of eagle owls, chameleons, and other Refuge wildlife. All ages are welcome. Expect moments of fun and discovery for the whole family! 11am and 1pm on Saturday August 13th and Sunday August 14th. $20 per adult and $5 per child under 12.
