Trout Lily: Master of Efficiency

I've been enjoying some early wildflowers during my saunters along the banks of the Susquehanna River this week. Those of us who seek to live efficiently have a plant to admire in the trout lily. How do you live efficiently if you're a trout lily? Get your growing season well underway before the trees leaf out so all the sun's rays that shine upon the forest are yours for the taking, and keep those petals closed on cloudy days but be ready to bloom when the sun shines bright.

What wildflowers are blooming in your neck of the woods?
